I recently posted a journal feature that dealt with Zentangel. The artists

have been doing a fashion of art that they don't refer to as 'zentangle', but it has all the components. As I commented to

, I'm not a huge fan of naming art...but the theory of zentangle ([link] rings true to me. HOWEVER I won't take libertiy here and classify this as zentangle, unless the artists has that in mind.

I have done some of these in the past. I'm not really sure if they qualify or not, because I sometimes include subjective matter in the piece, and I've had people tell me there's not supposed to be recognizable objects...just random patterns and lines. Well, whatever it's called, I like doing them, and sometimes I will add noticeable objects, because that's what I like to do ; )

you know, it's about putting pen to paper (if you will) and getting it out, and loving yourself for doing so, or pushing yourself to do better, it's Art and we love to do it in any form, huh?
